Upgrade your radio station with a DAB+ digital transmitter and antenna
Prepare your radio station for the future with the switch to DAB+. Digital broadcasts via DAB+ (Digital Audio Broadcasting Plus) not only offer superior sound quality, but also more efficient use of the radio spectrum. Whether you manage a local broadcaster or a regional channel; our DAB+ solutions ensure an interference-free listening experience and a professional digital presence.
The benefits of digital broadcasting via DAB+
The transition from analogue to digital offers significant benefits for both the broadcaster and the listener. Our systems are designed to maximize these benefits:
- Superior sound quality: Enjoy crackle-free audio transmission without the noise inherent in analog FM signals.
- Efficiency and reach: Reach a larger audience with a more stable signal, even in challenging urban environments.
- Additional data services: Easily send text information (DLS) and images (slideshows) along with your audio signal.
- Future-proof: With the rollout of digital networks worldwide, you are assured of a modern infrastructure.
Easy installation and versatile applications
Our DAB+ transmitters are designed for seamless integration into your existing studio setup. The modular construction makes installation clear: by connecting the DAB Plus transmitter to an antenna specially designed for this band, you can be operational quickly. Our systems are ideal for various applications, from small-scale local "small-scale DAB" projects to robust regional broadcast networks.

Frequently asked questions about DAB+ channels (FAQ)
- What is the difference between DAB and DAB+?
DAB+ is the more modern version that uses the efficient AAC+ audio codec. This allows more stations to broadcast on one frequency block (multiplex) with higher sound quality than with the original DAB standard.
- Do I need a different antenna for DAB+ than for FM?
Yes, DAB+ broadcasts on a higher frequency (VHF Band III) than the traditional FM band. This means you need a specific DAB+ antenna that is tuned to these frequencies to guarantee optimal range.
- How many stations can broadcast on one DAB+ transmitter?
Thanks to multiplex technology, multiple radio stations (often 12 to 18, depending on the bit rate) can be broadcast via one transmitter and one frequency. This makes the costs per station significantly lower than with individual FM transmitters.
