AKB-160DT Analog meets digital: 100V PA amplifier with Dante® module

With this innovative PA amplifier module you can seamlessly integrate traditional 100V speaker systems into a modern, IP-based audio network. Where you previously needed complex routing, thick speaker cables and central amplifier racks, this Dante® instreamer brings the amplification directly to the zone. The module is based on the well-known and extremely reliable architecture of the PA-900 and AKB-160 series, but has now been expanded with a powerful 2-channel Dante® network card. This makes the unit the perfect decentralized solution for fixed installations in offices, schools, shops and catering establishments.

Flexible audio routing over IP

The operation is as simple as it is ingenious: the module is connected to the computer network via a standard network cable. You can effortlessly stream a digital stereo signal or two separate mono signals directly to the module via the RJ45 connection. The internal high-end DAC (D/A converter) converts the digital audio streams into a flawless analog signal. The internal output stage then delivers a stable continuous power of 40 Watts (with a peak power of 60 Watts) on the 100V output to drive your loudspeaker line powerfully.

Noiseless performance thanks to fanless cooling

In many installation environments, such as meeting rooms, prayer rooms, libraries or classrooms, environmental noise is out of the question. This amplifier module is therefore designed with an advanced, fanless cooling concept. The heat generated is completely passively dissipated through the robust metal housing. This results in $100\%$quiet operation without mechanical wear parts, which also significantly extends the reliability and operational life of the electronics.

Ease of installation and system requirements

The module is housed in a compact, black metal housing that can easily be mounted on a wall, under a desk or in a suspended ceiling thanks to the supplied mounting brackets. The speaker cables are securely secured via the reliable screw terminals on the back. For configuring and routing the audio signals via the official Dante® Controller software, the system is compatible with all common operating systems, including Windows 7, 8.1 and 10, as well as MacOS from version 10.9.5.
