This professional 2-channel DI box ensures optimal and interference-free signal transmission from musical instruments to a mixing console or amplifier. By using a high-quality transformer coupling, interfaces and interference due to adjustment problems - such as persistent ground loops and hum - are effectively eliminated. The inputs and outputs are fully galvanically isolated for a safe and clean audio connection.
The 2-channel DI box is an indispensable tool on every stage and in every studio. When you connect instruments with a high output impedance (such as keyboards, acoustic guitars or electric bass guitars) directly to a mixing console over longer cable lengths, you quickly experience loss of quality, noise or disturbing hum. This passive DI box solves this problem flawlessly by converting the unbalanced instrument signal into a balanced microphone signal with a low impedance.
The heart of this DI box consists of two high-quality broadband balancing transformers. These ensure complete galvanic isolation between the input and output. As a result, electrical voltage differences between, for example, a guitar amplifier and the FOH mixing console no longer influence each other, making ground loops and the well-known $50text{ Hz}$hum a thing of the past. Thanks to the impressive frequency range of $15text{ to }30,000text{ Hz}$, the natural sound character of your instrument remains completely intact.
The DI box offers maximum flexibility thanks to independent control per channel. Are you dealing with a powerful active pickup or a line signal that overdrives the input of the mixing console? With the 3-stage attenuation switch ($0text{ dB}, -20text{ dB} text{ or } -40text{ dB}$) you can attenuate it input signal to the desired level in no time. In the unlikely event that a ground loop does occur, disconnect the ground connection immediately with the Ground Lift switch.
On the front, each channel has an unbalanced 6.3 mm jack input for the instrument. Directly next to it is a parallel 6.3 mm jack output (feed-through). This allows you to send the pure guitar or keyboard signal directly to your own amplifier on stage, while the balanced signal is transported to the mixer without interference via the professional XLRoutputs at the rear. The electronics are housed in a heavy-duty, impact-resistant metal housing that will effortlessly hold up in the most demanding live environments.
